Problem

Snow sensor installs depended on devices being prepared before technicians reached the field. That created extra setup work and made on-site changes harder when sensors needed to be connected or calibrated during installation.

Solution

Built a mobile app published on both the iOS and Android app stores. Technicians can scan a snow sensor QR code, use BLE from their phone to work with the sensor and related devices, complete calibration, and report the install back to the server.

The app brings installation steps into one field-ready flow: identify the sensor, connect the hardware, confirm setup details, and keep the backend in sync.

Result

Installation became much simpler for technicians. Sensors no longer need to be fully preconfigured before field work begins, and phone-based BLE access makes setup, calibration, and reporting easier to handle on site.
